چکیده
This research aimed at assessing flood hazard areas and literacy of the elderly population in Bangkok, Thailand analyzing their preparedness through SWOT analysis. Expert interviews a community survey were conducted. Using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) GIS technique, results indicated that land-use, drainage density, annual maximum rainfall most heavily weighted factors mapping Bangkok. About half (50.32%) Bangkok’s total area was defined as high area. A 736 questionnaires distributed flood-prone with highest percentage population. The both analysis found many senior citizens have low digital media limited experience using information technology for preparedness. Lack integration disaster risk reduction aging policy, ineffective warning system, lack access to training key barriers reducing vulnerability hazard. revealed majority respondents (75%) neither used online applications management before during nor shared/communicated via platforms. Some (13%) Facebook Line obtain event. Very few (<2%) accessed national/provincial web-based platform find out flood-related information. Almost all respondents, especially who are living high-risk zones, had never participated management. Therefore, effective strategies enhancing social engagement skills urgently needed.

Comparison of classic and fuzzy analytic hierarchy processes for mapping the flood hazard of Birjand plain
Flood is one of the most destructive natural hazards which impose vast costs in order to compensate its effects, especially in areas where there are manifestations of human development (such as cities). Urban development, particularly in the margins of rivers, has increased flood damages in recent decades. The aim of this study was to develop flood hazard maps of Birjand plain based on analyses...
متن کاملUse of Remote Sensing and Gis for Flood Hazard Mapping in Chiang Mai Province, Northern Thailand
Throughout the human history floods have been an integral part of the civilization. Still men have not quite coped well to live with floods. Flood hazards result from a combination of physical exposure and human vulnerability to a geophysical process. Physical exposure reflects the type of flood events that can occur and their statistical pattern at a particular site while human vulnerability r...

An integrated framework is presented for sustainability-based flood hazard mapping of the Swannanoa River watershed in the state of North Carolina, U.S. The framework uses a hydrologic model for rainfall–runoff transformation, a two-dimensional unsteady hydraulic model flood simulation and a GIS-based multi-criteria decision-making technique for flood hazard mapping. Economic, social, and envir...
